The Rezzy Toe’s

I am ranking the teams this year as follows:
RB’s will be scored out of 10 points (most important)
QB’s will be scored out of 9 Points
Defenses will be scored out of 9 Points
WR’s will be scored out of 8 Points
TE’s will be scored out of 5 Points
Bench will scored out of 3 Points (Least important)
Out of 44

The Rezzy Toe’s:

QB’s: Tom Brady, Philip Rivers

I have always been a Tom Brady hater, but after looking at his numbers from the past few seasons I will shut up. This guy had 3500 yards passing last year, and his top receiver was…… uhh…. Well I don’t even know who it was. With the acquisition of Randy Moss and Donte’ Stallworth he will definitely have 4,000 yards passing. He isn’t an injury concern either, never missing a game in the last 5 years.

Philip Rivers had an awesome debut last year throwing 22 td’s and only 9 interceptions. I expect an increase in touchdowns and yards thrown. You have to remember that Marty didn’t let Philip loose until later in the year. With a new coach, and offensive coordinator, I expect the offense to be a bit more open.

Quite possibly the best tandem at QB in the league, these guys should be fun to watch this year…..

8/9

WR’s: Roy Williams, Lee Evans, Deion Branch

Roy Williams was a beast last year with more than 1,300 yards receiving and 7 touchdowns. He was also very consistent from week to week often having around 5 or 6 receptions a game. With the acquisition of Calvin Johnson I don’t see much of a decline in numbers because teams won’t be able to double Roy anymore. I expect a similar year to what he had last year.

Lee Evans was one player I was dieing to get this year. I had him ranked number 7 overall on my receivers list. He has been in the league only three years and most people barely know who he is. Well incase you’ve been sleeping, he had nearly 1,300 yards last season with 8 touchdowns. As Losman develops as a quarterback I expect these numbers to get even better.

Deion Branch was a risky pick in my opinion, but I think it will pay off. He has yet to have a 1,000 yard season, but we all know the potential for it is there. Darrell Jackson had most of the receiving touchdowns last year in Seattle, but with Jackson being shipped off to San Fran I expect Deion to finally have a huge season being the lone number 1 in Seattle.

A ridiculous receiving core…..

7/8

RB’s: Willie Parker, Clinton Portis

It may be a surprise to some of you but despite the absolutely terrible season the Steelers had last year Willie Parker somehow managed to rack up nearly 1,500 yards rushing and found the end zone 16 times. He could be the fastest RB in the NFL right now and I’m sure he will have another great season, as the Steelers can only improve in my opinion.

Clinton Portis was injured nearly the whole season last year and Torres took a risk on him bouncing back this year. My concern is that Ladell Betts showed so much talent last year I could honestly see this going to a platoon system in Washington with both Portis and Betts getting 10-15 carries a game. I think Torres made a big mistake by not hand-cuffing Ladell Betts. Portis is only 25 years old so a bounce back season could be possible; I am just worried about injuries.

Willie should have a great year, but Portis is a big question mark…..

7/10

TE: Randy McMichael

Here is the lovey-dovey Rams pick I knew Torres would make. I think it’s a good one though. McMichael is a great pass catcher and Bulger is one of the best. Should be fun to watch….

4/5

Defenses: Pittsburgh, Seattle

With Silly Mike Tomlin the head coach in Pittsburgh I expect their defense to improve this year. I think this was one of the more under-rated defenses coming into this season.
Seattle is just a mediocre defense, but definitely one of the better……

6/9

Bench:

Torres actually has a somewhat legitimate bench this year. He has Jason Campbell to back up his two silly QB’s, Brandon Jackson, a rookie rb for GB that is sure to see the ball plenty, and of course DAUNTE CULPEPPER….. SILLLLLLLLLY

2/3

OVERALL SCORE: 34/44……. 77%
