Power Hour

I am ranking the teams this year as follows:
RB’s will be scored out of 10 points (most important)
QB’s will be scored out of 9 Points
Defenses will be scored out of 9 Points
WR’s will be scored out of 8 Points
TE’s will be scored out of 5 Points
Bench will scored out of 3 Points (Least important)
Out of 44

Power Hour:

QB’s: Eli Manning, J.P. Losman

Coming into his fourth NFL season Eli Manning has to step up and deliver. After a solid year in 2005, he fluttered a bit in 2006 passing for 500 less yards. He looked great the first half of the season last year, and then somehow fell off the radar the rest of the year. If he can have good weeks down the stretch he will be a formidable QB this year.

J.P. Losman is also going into his fourth season, and has improved quite a bit each year. I look for him to improve again this year, but he still won’t be in the upper echelon of QB’s.

Two decent quarterbacks, but neither has the ability to change to kill you in fantasy……

5/9

WR’s: Steve Smith, Anquan Boldin, Donte’ Stallworth

Steve Smith is an animal when healthy. However, he has only played 1 full season the last three years. If he stays healthy he will rival the best receivers in the league in terms of numbers, but he always seems to have the injury bug. I like the pick as long as he stays healthy; there is no denying his talent.

Anquan Boldin had another good year last year with more than 1,200 yards receiving. His touchdown total declined by three from the previous season, but this is probably due to the fact that he had to get used to Matt Leinart throwing him the ball. I expect him to get back on track this year and have 8 or 9 td’s.

Donte’ Stallworth is a SOLID #3 receiver. He played only 12 games last season and had 725 yards receiving with 5 td’s, with Tom Brady throwing him the ball this year I think he could be in for a monster year. I like this pick.

Very solid receiving core….. Smith and Stallworth are injury concerns, but if healthy they are both silly…..

7/8

RB’s: Steven Jackson, Edgerrin James

Stevie is going to have another great year. He has added value in our league because we get points for receptions, so I think this was a great choice by Braur at #2 overall. Look for 1500 yards rushing and 700 yards receiving this year with around 20 td’s. He is a beast.

Edgerrin James in the second round is un-fucking-believable. This guy is a fucking fossil who couldn’t even average 3.5 yards per carry last season. He has lost more than just a step and should seriously look into retirement. I don’t see a bounce back year in store for this scrub, and quite frankly I think he is going to have another terrible year. He will be lucky to find the end zone more than 5 times again this season. TRIFLING

Stevie is SOLID, but Edge? Come on Braur, you have to be fucking kidding……..

6/10

TE: Todd Heap

Obviously a top ten tight end, Heap is only 27 and entering the prime of his career. I look for him to have another great year.

4/5

Defenses: Philadelphia, New York Giants and Jets

Philly is always good, but both the Giants and Jets are mediocre squads that won’t change the outcome of many fantasy matchups…..

5/9

Bench:

Solid backups in Chester Taylor, Terry Glenn and L.J. Smith, the rest of the bench is pretty bad though.

2/3

OVERALL SCORE: 29/44……. 66%
